This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains when refunds may or may not be available in relation to services provided by Gaudium Limited, a limited liability company registered in Lagos, Nigeria.

This policy forms part of Gaudium Limited’s:

  • Client Services Agreement
  • Terms & Conditions

By engaging our services or making any payment, you agree to this policy in full.

 

IMPORTANT PRINCIPLE (PLEASE READ)

Gaudium Limited provides consulting, professional administrative support and education referral services.

Fees paid to Gaudium Limited are for:

  • Professional time
  • Consultations
  • Research and preparation
  • Administrative work
  • Document review and organisation

Fees are not paid for:

  • Visa approval
  • School or university admission
  • Scholarships
  • Immigration outcomes

Accordingly, outcomes are not refundable.

GENERAL REFUND POSITION

Non-Refundable by Default

 

Unless expressly stated otherwise in this policy:

  • Fees are non-refundable once services have commenced
  • Commencement includes any consultation, review, research, or administrative work

 

This reflects the bespoke and time-based nature of our services.

 

No Refunds for Third-Party Decisions

 

No refunds will be issued where:

  • A visa application is refused
  • A school or university application is rejected
  • An offer is withdrawn by an institution
  • A visa or study permit is delayed or refused

 

These decisions are outside Gaudium Limited’s control and do not constitute service failure.

SERVICE-SPECIFIC REFUND TERMS

Visa Application Administrative Support

Non-Refundable Where:

  • Any consultation has taken place
  • A checklist, guidance, or form completion has begun
  • Documents have been reviewed
  • Administrative support has been provided in any form

 

Refunds May Be Considered Only If:

  • Gaudium Limited is unable to commence the service at all due to an internal error
  • No work whatsoever has been carried out

 

Visa refusals, delays, or changes in immigration rules do not qualify for refunds.

 

Education Pathway Planning™

(Consultation & Institution Shortlisting)

This is a consultation-led, bespoke planning service.

 

Non-Refundable Where:

  • A consultation has taken place
  • Research or shortlisting has begun
  • A shortlist or written summary has been prepared

 

Cancellation Before Consultation:

  • If the client cancels at least 48 hours before the scheduled consultation, a refund may be issued less an administrative fee.

 

Not Refundable Due To:

  • Dissatisfaction with shortlisted institutions
  • Change of mind after consultation
  • Admission or visa outcomes

 

Education Referral Services

Education referral services:

  • Are not charged as a standalone refundable service
  • Are linked to consultation, planning, or application support

 

No refunds apply in relation to:

  • Introductions made
  • Referrals issued
  • Institutions declining to admit a student

 

Institution Application Support™

(Post-Referral Administrative Support)

Non-Refundable Where:

  • Application work has commenced
  • Forms have been completed or reviewed
  • Documents have been organised or checked
  • Submission guidance has been provided

 

Refunds May Be Considered Only If:

  • The service cannot be started due to Gaudium Limited’s internal failure
  • No application-related work has been carried out

 

Admission refusals or withdrawals do not qualify for refunds.

CLIENT-INITIATED CANCELLATIONS

Before Services Begin

If a client cancels before any service has commenced, Gaudium Limited may, at its discretion:

  • Issue a refund
  • Deduct reasonable administrative or processing fees

 

After Services Begin

If a client cancels after services have commenced:

  • No refund will be issued
  • Any outstanding fees remain payable

MISREPRESENTATION, BREACH, OR MISCONDUCT

No refunds will be issued where services are refused or terminated due to:

  • False, misleading, or incomplete information
  • Submission of non-genuine documents
  • Breach of the Client Services Agreement
  • Abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour
  • Requests for unlawful or unethical conduct

SERVICE DELAYS

Gaudium Limited is not responsible for delays caused by:

  • Client inaction or late responses
  • Third-party systems (embassies, schools, portals)
  • External events or regulatory changes

 

Delays do not entitle clients to refunds.

GOODWILL ADJUSTMENTS (RARE & DISCRETIONARY)

In exceptional circumstances, Gaudium Limited may offer:

  • A partial credit
  • A goodwill adjustment

 

Any such gesture:

  • Is discretionary
  • Is not an admission of liability
  • Does not set a precedent

HOW TO REQUEST A REFUND

All refund requests must:

  • Be submitted in writing
  • Clearly explain the basis of the request
  • Refund requests will be reviewed in line with this policy and the Complaints & Escalation Policy.

FINALITY OF DECISIONS

Refund decisions made by Gaudium Limited in accordance with this policy are final, subject to applicable consumer protection laws.

GOVERNING LAW

This Refund & Cancellation Policy is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections applicable in other jurisdictions.
